PUBG developer PUBG Corp. has announced that it will add a new vehicle, more weapons, and an underground cave system to a new, smaller map. The studio discussed all this in a blog post and outlined what's coming to the Codename: Savage map.
The underground cave is inspired by Phraya Nakhon Cave , a real cave system located outside of Bangkok , Thailand . You'll be able to parachute straight into the cave, and there seem to be "plenty of escape methods". Here's a render of what it might look like: PUBG Corp. has stated that there are still "some things to do" before showing off the underground cavern. PUBG Corp. Codename: Savage 's test servers stated that "in the next few test phases, we will have player feedback and player comments that will be of great importance in the development".
The studio didn't say anything about the weapons coming to PUBG , though it said one of the new vehicles was a Tuk Tuk, a motorized rickshaw . More details about the new weapons and vehicles will be announced "soon".
Codename: Savage offers a smaller and faster gameplay than PUBG 's other two maps. The map is 4km x 4km and the result is a faster combat experience, especially closer to temple and resort areas.
In other PUBG news, Xbox One players will soon get a chance to try the game for free. Anyone with an Xbox Live Gold membership will be able to play the free game from April 19-22. A new DLC pack for the game was also announced on Xbox One , and Microsoft said that PUBG 's second map, Miramar, will come to the console version of the game in May. For PC gamers, patch 10 has been released, bringing a number of changes to the blue zones and the Miramar map.
