During the livestream for the PAX South panel, publisher NIS America announced that the cult hit Japanese RPG series Trails Of Cold Steel is bringing its third entry to PC. Fully titled Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel III , this game was originally released on PS4 in September 2017 on PS4 in Japan and October 2019 for the West , and a Switch version is expected later this year. However, those who want to continue the Cold Steel saga on PC can do so on March 23, 2020.
Cold Steel III continues the tense political drama and war terrors of main character Rean Schwarzer and friends from Class VII as they grow into young adults and take on new roles in life. This series includes story elements from the Trails In The Sky series, as all these games take place in the same universe.
Especially when it comes to this version, Cold Steel III gets the enhancements that came with the previous two games on PC. This includes native 4K support, ultrawide 21:9 support, capless framerate, and a host of graphics options. Another major addition is the turbo mode, which lets you quickly advance 2x, 4x or 6x speed at any point in the game.

Trails Of Cold Steel IV is closing the series and has been out in Japan since 2018, while there is currently no development on the Western version.
