The third round of testing for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds ' new Sanhok map (formerly Codename : Savage ) has begun. For the next few days, anyone who bought PUBG on Steam will be able to try the small island map, anyone who owns the game for this test.
As developer PUBG Corp. detailed in the patch notes for the third Sanhok test , the map currently has four new areas: Cave, Tambang, Lakawi, Na Kham. To go along with the new name of the map, PUBG Corp. it also changed the name of all areas in Sanhok, and many of them have had "various improvements" since the last round of testing.
Additionally, PUBG Corp. made some adjustments to how the red zone works. The developer says the red zone will "generally" no longer appear in the safe zone. That said, you'll have to be more careful, especially when the blue circle is close to the white one, but PUBG Corp says this change will generally be riskier to play outside of the safe zone.
When PUBG Corp. implemented the loot balance to weapons recently, it also adjusted the drop rates for some items on Sanhok. In particular, AR-type weapons will now be more common. The drop rate of the M16A4 and AKM has been increased, while the M416 has slightly decreased - but PUBG Corp. “The total amount that comes out will stay the same as before,” he says.
The third Sanhok test runs until May 14 and, as previously mentioned, is open to anyone who has purchased PUBG on Steam. To take the test, you need to download the Experimental Test Server client from your Steam Library.
