Data miners on the YouTube channel Red Dead Guides are searching for new game files and have discovered about 50 different zombie models that have yet to be released. As October approaches, this probably seems to point to a "Horror" Halloween event in the game.

The models are labeled "Army of Fear", but it's unclear if they're used for a new game mode or a larger temporary overhaul of Red Dead Online .
