Capcom has released a new Monster Hunter: World trailer for the game's upcoming crossover with Final Fantasy XIV . A big draw for the event was that the Behemoth comes from Square Enix's long-running RPG series, but of course time will determine everything.
The trailer, which you can watch below, features a series of plot plots for the mashup: "Drawn by Aetheryte, a visitor has arrived from the land of Eorzea. The crystals whisper the beginning of a new chapter for our adventures..." They will stand up against the mythical creature that threatens the entire New Earth. "
The trailer shows a hunter encountering a sleeping Moogle, after which Kulu-Ya-Ku appears to be investigating a Crystal from the Final Fantasy universe. “We pray for your success, Brave Warriors of Light,” the trailer adds. For Final Fantasy fans, the video is packed with cool gear, including an armor set inspired by the Dragoon class from the Final Fantasy games.
As with most large beasts, hunting a Behemoth will be difficult, not only because he is strong and has large, far-reaching attacks, but also because he can summon meteors from the sky. On top of that, it appears that monsters that interact with the previously mentioned Crystals are also given a power boost, as Kulu-Ya-Ku showed while growing before the attack.
As previously mentioned, the Final Fantasy crossover event will be available for free to PS4 and Xbox One players on August 1 .
