PUBG Corp. and Tencent have released a new update for the mobile version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds . Update 0.5.0 is now available for download from both Google Play and the App Store , and the game has been expanded with new features, game improvements and other content.
The biggest addition in the update is the desert map Miramar , which makes it into the mobile version of PUBG before it's official release on Xbox One . PUBG Corp. , has not yet announced that the desert map will be available in the console version, but the developer conducted the third Miramar test on Xbox One last weekend and the map is expected to launch this month.
The update also marks the start of PUBG Mobile 's second season, offering players a series of new weekly progression missions to complete and reward their wins.
In terms of gameplay settings, the developers have added a native quick team feature to the game. Players can now team up locally with nearby friends by entering a six-digit code. Various elements of the game have also been improved, including the game mode and the "smoothness" of the parachute camera.
Finally, PUBG Corp. and Tencent have revealed a new selection of avatars, as well as a store where players can purchase new outfits and items. The developers have also added a section that offers special discounted items.
