After much teasing and speculation, Activision has finally lifted the curtain on this year's highly anticipated Call of Duty game Black Ops 4 . Like previous entries in the series, Black Ops 4 includes different game modes like the popular Zombies , but this year's series will also feature the Battle Royale genre.
Filled with Blackout , the new Battle Royale style mode will force players to fight to stay standing and stay to the last. On the official Call of Duty website , Activision has revealed that Blackout can be played solo or as a team, just like Fortnite and PUBG . However, unlike other Battle Royale games, it announced that it was prepared in a more developed way than the previous Black Ops series. Developer Treyarch has announced that a Battle Royale mode is " Black Ops".He said he wanted it to be played with ", and to that end, it's included in the mod's items from the entire series.
According to Treyarch, the map in Blackout will be the biggest map the developer has ever created. Some locations are old maps taken directly from historical records, and players can use weapons and items from all previous Black Ops games , including RC cars . The map also features land, air and sea vehicles, and players can play as Hudson, Reznov, Mason and other characters from the series. However, Treyarch said it's still undecided on the number of players Blackout will support .
Activision has revealed a host of new details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 at this week's special launch event . Along with Blackout , the publisher told a lot about the new Zombies campaign , which at launch takes place over three unique maps and puts a stronger emphasis on mystery . Activision also showed that Black Ops 4 will not have a traditional single player mode; rather, the game will feature solo missions focusing on each expert character.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will launch on October 12 for PS4 , Xbox One , and PC . The PC version is only available through Blizzard's Battle.net service. Although the event was announced at a later date, Activision will hold a beta for Black Ops 4 ahead of its launch this year.
