The number of agents in Valorant continues to increase with every episode released so far, and there are currently 15 agents in total in the game. The latest agent, Astra, was the newest agent in Chapter 2, Part 2, and brought a breath of fresh air to the meta with her Astral Travel ability. So, what do we know about Agent 16 ?
It's been almost two months since the last Valorant agent , Astra, was added to the game. Riot, which normally brings a new agent in every new episode, couldn't show the same performance in Episode 2 Part 3 and only added the new map Breeze , which disappointed the players a bit. Riot, which has prepared a month-long program as part of the first anniversary celebrations of the game , announced to the players on a blog post on May 28 that it shared a few information that will cause speculation about the new agent.

Shortly after the release of Valorant update 2.09, data miners noticed a new character name hidden in the game's code and suggested that this character, codenamed " Grenadier", could be Valorant's 16th agent .
The new agent is expected to be released in Valorant Chapter 3, Part 1, right after the Battle Pass ends on June 22, 2021 . At best, it is among the rumors that it will be added to the game with patch 3.0 .

In a recent blog post, Valorant character producer John Goscicki had this to say about the new agent ;
Riot Games talked about the new agent's abilities in its blog post; This time we are adding some abilities that should be familiar to people who have played traditional FPS games their entire lives, but with additional elements that will make these recognizable talents unique in our roster. This is a helpful Agent that can create moments where you need to rely on your gunplay.
Based on this post and previous Grenadier leaks, to get a rough idea of the agent's abilities and gameplay; The new character jumps onto each map with some kind of explosive power. This can take the form of a traditional grenade like Raze's Color Impact Grenade, or traps that require activation like Killjoy's Nanoswarm.
Creating moments where you have to trust your weapon definitely gives the impression that another duelist or spotter is on the way. However, if we take into account that Grenadier has the ability to break into enemy strongholds, he may be a lead agent. That's all we know for now.
