Warcraft III: Reforged brings back the 2002 classic with new visuals, rebalanced gameplay, and a host of quality-of-life improvements, now on Windows and Mac .
Originally announced in 2018, Warcraft III: Reforged also bundles the original campaign, Reign of Chaos, as well as its update, The Frozen Throne, in one package. Both campaigns have been brushed to improve various gameplay elements and overall balance while maintaining the classic feel of real-time strategy gameplay. New visuals bring the four playable races to new life with improvements that extend to maps, environments, structures, UI and more.
Warcraft III: Reforged also brings multiplayer enhancements with matchmaking, custom lobbies, and friend support via Battle.net. In addition, Blizzard will also bring the classic version of Warcraft III to the same client as Reforged, so players can challenge each other online regardless of what version of the game. Blizzard hopes to support all legacy mods for Warcraft III, but it's unclear whether each will seamlessly migrate to the new client.
