If Riot wants to make the game one of the most competitive on the market, Valorant has a lot to fix. One of the Valorant playerbase's biggest complaints about the game is the unreliable hits and movement errors that make every Valorant game feel different. Riot's latest blog post for Ask Valorant #8 addresses the following issue:
"This is probably frustrating to hear, but: my experience with 'VAL' basically sounds inconsistent from game to game, sometimes I have problems with the base shots, but sometimes it just feels like everything is flawless. I'm not trying to make excuses for my own performance but something is always right Do you agree on this?
In a game where competitive integrity is paramount by the developers, hitbox inaccuracies and other inconsistent gameplay elements don't happen.

In their reply to Ask Valorant #8, the Valorant developers said they were aware of such issues and wrote:
In the past few months, we've noticed little less than inspiring trends in perception of shot reliability (i.e., the decline of positive thinking "My bullets reliably hit targets when I expected them"), which has prompted us to dig deeper.
Players said (in general) shots were reliable and consistent most of the time
And in terms of improvement, the developers highlighted the following:
"Improving reliability in combat: increasing hitbox clarity, improving readability and predictability of motion inaccuracy situations, and minimizing the difference in game feel under different ping conditions."
The Valorant developers concluded by saying:
“We are currently in the process of delving into each of these while trying to build a more holistic picture of game reliability, which blends player sentiment, game analytics, and deep technical analysis of our core systems. Making sure the game respects you and your opponents' skills is VALORANT's promise. "It's critically important to fulfill our mission and we won't be putting that aside anytime soon. Keep sending your feedback and we'll keep digging."
