However, in the current system, age can burn as well as dry, and Riot seems to be doing more harm than good, even if it's in its core best interests. One of the most controversial, yet common, bans Riot has lifted in Valorant is the 'communication ban'. And according to the player base, it negatively impacts the gaming experience of the attacker's innocent teammates.
In a recent Reddit post by Valorant player " silenthills13 ", there is a statement criticizing the current penalty system in Valorant .

And to be honest, it's a very powerful question. Valorant relies heavily on team communication. Therefore, if you ban a particular player, all his communication with the rest of the team is restricted.
If you're already banning the player, you're not at least giving him a chance to communicate with the team.
silenthills13 writes: "This is honestly a terrible solution for normal players. If you get a randomly banned player, your communication will suffer a lot. Why is that a thing? If someone flames, you can mute it. It takes 1 second. But it will be muted by the game. If they're taken, you have to play with them that way for the entire game."
