Riot states , "Each area of the Icebox is a complex battlefield with lots of cover and verticality. A zipline system is also included in the map, which increases the sense of fast movement and verticality."
" As we will release Icebox ahead of schedule, we will release it in 'beta' state for at least two weeks. During this time, the map will be playable in Unrated, Spike Rush, and Deathmatch modes. We will continue to optimize performance on the map and fix any bugs that may arise. All is well goes, Icebox will be playable on the Competitive system on October 27."
Earlier in the patch, more Valorant players lining up for Unrated will be placed in the Icebox.
Ascendants (Ropes) / Wire Ropes
Acceleration adjusted to avoid sudden shifts in direction (this was added in the last patch, but because it wasn't in the patch notes)
Movement speed decreased in Scope mode: 76% >>> 72%
Changed movement speed where weapon deadzone loses accuracy: 30% >>> 15% (loses accuracy in less time and gains accuracy after a longer period of time after stopping)
Rate of fire decreased: 0.75 >>> 0.6
Adjusted instant equip duration: 0.3 >>> 0.5 (equip state after touching the orb, starting to defrost or planting the bomb, using Jett's Smoke Cloud, and using Phoenix's Falso)
Leg hit damage decreased: 127 >>> 120
We noticed that players who landed after jumping were able to shoot more accurately than they should have. Although this issue generally affects the Operator, we saw that all weapons were in the same state. Jumping peek offers variety in performing different moves, but it has become extremely difficult to play against. These changes keep the range of moves the same, while slightly delaying the jumping peeker's ability to shoot with precision.
Changed the accuracy after jumping and landing: staggered >>> binary
Accuracy decay time after jumping and landing increased: 0.2 >>> 0.225
Accuracy reduction value after jumping and landing increased: 5 >>> 7 (less accurate for 0.225s after landing)
In this patch, your chances of encountering queues lasting more than an hour will be greatly reduced. This was already a very rare occurrence, but it could happen to players at high skill tiers, especially when they enter the game with a ready group. We've also made some background tweaks to make high skill games found after long queues more balanced and fair.
Fixed a bug where the hit range was not correct when using Sova's Owl Drone.
Fixed a bug where Omen's eye glow wouldn't go away after canceling his ultimate.
Fixed a bug that caused Custom Game preferences to reset after exiting the Custom Game lobby.
