Many gamers (mostly those with full-time jobs and families to support) don't have more than 2-3 hours a day to devote time to Valorant.
Considering what Riot Games ' Joe Lee previously said about the 100 hour Battle Pass , it's only 2 months to complete, with the average player closing after 60-90 hours at the end of each Act. For many players, it becomes a challenge they don't want to do, and for those who have already paid the $10 price, spamming after-match to complete missions on time makes the game a very boring experience.
Don't get us wrong, Riot's Battle Pass system for Valorant is a good one, especially when it comes to providing great rewards and skins to players.
However, casual players cannot take advantage of Battle Pass rewards for not completing the missions on time.
When you turn a game, especially a fps, into a very excruciating experience, you will definitely lose interest from a large part of your player base. In a Reddit post in June, the Redditor, who goes by the name PathologicalBacteria, talks about the Battle pass XP system:
"If I heard right, there will be every new Battle Pass that the Act the Valorant team plans to release every 2 months. I'm only at level 36 and have played 50+ games and I still don't think I'll have enough time to finish the battle pass. Even in a daily mission, it's a day to complete them . I only have enough time to play 2-3 games. Completing one of the next stages (36-50) shouldn't take 10 40 minutes of games."
From the beginning of Act 1 to the end of Act 2, not much has changed in Valorant in terms of the Battle Pass system. Psyrik's XP calculation chart below only shows the amount of grind a person must draw to complete the Battle Pass.
This is really the driving force and Riot should consider changing the system by providing more XP for completing each match or reducing the total amount of XP and rewards required to unlock each stage.
