Valorant players are gearing up for the release of the next Chapter and Chapter in Riot's hugely popular FPS. Lore, cosmetics, and possibly a new map that Riot has been hinting at for a while will be with us at the start of Episode 5 .
Before each patch, players can test future features in the Public Beta Environment (PBE) before they are released on the main client. The PBE allows Riot to fix bugs and clean up bugs to ensure players have the best possible experience after the patch note is released worldwide. The PBE schedule for upcoming Valorant patches has been announced recently to keep players informed.

" Episodes " are the biggest competitive times in Valorant, featuring three Episodes and lasting about six months. In each new Chapter, players will receive a new weapon charm based on the highest competitive rank they had in the previous Chapter; their rank also gets a soft reset, and players must play five placement games to calibrate their rank.
The upcoming update will mark the beginning of Valorant Episode 5 . The schedule for all Part 5 Part 1 patches for the PBE was recently shared by a Valorant data miner. The tentative dates are as follows:
Patch 5.00 – Friday, 17 June 2022
Patch 5.01 – Friday, June 24, 2022
Patch 5.02 – TBA
Patch 5.03 – July 22, 2022
Patch 5.04 – August 22, 2022
Patch 5.05 – TBA
The aforementioned dates mark the first day of PBE patches, which will open at approximately 4 PM PDT on Friday and expire at 11 AM PDT next Monday morning. It's worth noting that these dates are subject to change due to various factors and are not "strictly set".
Speaking about the game's Public Beta Environment, Riot says:
"You'll be able to enter new maps, rate new Agents, and more! Better yet, make sure our shiny new content is well tuned before it goes live, and we'll (hopefully) try to squash any pesky bugs you find along the way."
Fans can register on the Valorant PBE server and try new content in advance. However, Riot stated that in order to enter the PBE server, the player's live account must have no restrictions or current bans and must be in the North American region.

Not much is known yet about what the new Valorant episode will bring. From clues Riot has left over the last few months , it's speculated that Valorant will get its eighth map , which is either an aquarium or an underwater locationFracture was the last map added with Chapter 3 Part 2 in September 2021. So it doesn't seem like a very remote possibility.
However, Episode 5 will also bring to Valorant a host of cosmetic items for players to purchase, a new skin pack, and the Battle Pass. Keep your eyes peeled because we may soon see a brand new cinematic trailer heralding the arrival of Episode 5.
