Valorant patch 1.10 is now live, which means a new map, a new season of ranked modes, and more. Features like Act 3's competitive changes, battle pass, new map and new agent Skye were detailed earlier in the month, but the full update 1.10 patch notes provide a more in-depth look at some of the changes.

According to the official Valorant account on Twitter, there is currently an issue preventing players from purchasing battle tickets. The team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. Highlights of Valorant's patch 1.10 include its new map Icebox, a new rank disparity limit for Competitive mode queues, changes to the way Immortal and Radiant graded changes are measured, a few Deathmatch mode tweaks, and of course the start of a

new game . According to Riot, Icebox is currently in "beta" and will stay that way for at least two weeks. Riot GamesIt will only be playable in Unranked, Spike Rush, and Deathmatch modes, while continuing to optimize and fix bugs. Unranked players will find themselves in Icebox sooner than other maps. Riot hopes to release Icebox in Competitive mode by October 27 , which coincides with the launch of Valorant's new agent, Skye. Competitive mode players can now queue up with players in their rank three instead of six. "We've also tightened up our competitive matchmaking to reduce skill gaps," Riot Games said.

Individual performance of Immortal and Radiant players in matches will no longer be included in rank changes as of patch 1.10. Instead, match performance will only be measured by "game outcome stability", which means how many rounds your team has won or lost. Closer matches have a milder effect on performance calculations. The number of players in the Deathmatch mode has been increased to 14 players and the duration of the match has been increased.
