The COVID-19 pandemic has made the future unknown for a while. As far as the game was concerned, any event had to be cancelled. Conventions and tournaments have all been postponed or removed from the program altogether. But Riot Games kept Valorant going.
Valorant exploded over the summer and hosted many online events. Regions around the world took part in the online competition, which soon proved Valorant to be one of the top esports events. Fans outside the competitive field did not sit idle either.
