League of Legends Worlds 2022 is set to be one of the most competitive tournaments in a long time. Because the quality of the teams participating this year is very high; at least four to five teams in the tournament are ambitious enough to go all the way.
It is very important to note that the teams listed here are judged based on their current form, player quality, and 2022 Summer Split results. Therefore, it is always possible that some of these teams will not perform as expected when the tournament officially starts.

The 24 best teams from all over the world participated in the LoL 2022 World Championship . Before we go any further, let's say that the list is subjective and all participating teams are worthy of the World Champion title.
1) JDG
Of all the teams that have made it to the World Championship, there's no doubt that JDG probably has the best chance of eventually winning the tournament. The team currently has the most qualified players and the way the meta changes will ultimately benefit the team. JDG's number 369 top laner is currently the best in the world in his position and will give this team a huge advantage. But that doesn't mean other positions aren't that good. The team's jungler, Kanavi, displayed a tremendous amount of flexibility in the role.
It's quite clever and does an excellent job closing down aisles when needed. Finally, JDG's mid laner Yagao has been in good form lately and has shown good synergy with his top laner and jungler. If these three players stay in shape for JDG , very few teams will be able to beat them in the end.
2) Gen.G
The next team to consider on this list is Gen.G. The team vaporized the entire League of Legends LCK and even won the finals with a dominant 3-0. So in terms of form it's safe to say that Gen.G is very close to JDG, maybe even better in certain scenarios. However, unlike JDG, Gen.G's success will lie in their mid lanes and ADC.
Gen'G mid laner Chovy is arguably one of the best laners in the world and has shown that he can make an impact outside of the laning phase in the Summer of 2022. His instant decisions and mastery over champions like Azir will be key to Gen.G's glory.
If Chovy is good, the same can be said for Ruler, Gen.G's ADC. Again due to his mechanical prowess and decision-making ability, he is currently considered the second best ADC in the world. Ruler has a huge pool of champions that gives him a lot of flexibility. This makes it very easy for Gen.G to change the draft, which often makes it confusing for the enemy team to counter-select.
3) T1
T1 didn't have a perfect Summer Season in League of Legends' LCK. There were times when the team struggled quite a lot against even the worst opponents. This looks bad against other top teams as the LCK often lacks quality in the 2022 season. However, T1 is still one of the top LoL teams to enter the tournament and as long as the team plays with the meta, they can win them all. T1 likes to go for non-meta picks considering it's up against some of the strongest in the current patch.
For example, T1 didn't pick Trundle or Poppy once during the Summer Split playoffs in hopes that Wukong could stand up to anything. However, it didn't work. If this aspect of T1 is corrected, there is no doubt that T1 has some of the best players in all positions, with the exception of ADC. Faker is the greatest LoL player of all time , but T1's success is skyrocketing thanks to his over-the-top Zeus.
As previously mentioned, Worlds 2022 could see a top lane-focused meta, and Zeus is probably one of the best in the tournament. He has an enormous pool of champions , his mechanical skills are divine, and he has tremendous game-building potential. Even when T1 was struggling, Zeus continued to shine and was the only reason T1 won games. Therefore, with the trio of Faker, Oner, and Zeus united during Worlds 2022, there is a great chance that T1 will easily knock down their rivalry.
4) EDG
EDG had a below-average League of Legends LPL 2022 Summer Split, but there's no doubt it's one of the best in the tournament. There are two reasons for this. The first is that EDG as a team is extremely robust and knows how to grind results. Secondly, this team is the last World Champion ; therefore, it will be one step above most other teams in terms of experience.
EDG's ADC, Viper, is also one of the best in the world, and no other player comes close to him in this position. EDG's mid laner Scout is also arguably one of the world's least known mid laners and has proven his mastery in this position time and time again. EDG may not be the cleanest team and often have issues with the game plan. However, even during the 2021 World Championships, the team showed that they were extremely smart about team fights, and the same has not changed even to this day.
5) Top Esports
The last team to consider on this list is League of Legends LPL 2022 Summer Split runner-up, Top Esports . Players like Jackeylove, Tian, Knight and Wayward are some of the most knowledgeable players in the world, and the team's bold individual performances are better than most other teams.
However, it has been noted by viewers that Top Esports often stands out for individual intelligence and the player shortage with other teams makes this roster a major threat. One of the biggest positives for Top Esports this year will be Tian's form.
While in FPX last year, he suffered a hand injury that greatly affected his performance. However, since joining Top Esports, he has come back with a vengeance and will make a difference for the team throughout the 2022 Worlds.
The LoL 2022 World Championship will be played from September 29 to November 5.
