Fortnite Season 5 has officially begun, and there's plenty of new content for players to be surprised by. We've covered the changes and additions extensively, but we also wanted to round up any new tips and tricks you might have. There are some notable changes across all platforms that you might not notice; Here are some of the biggest.
First and foremost, we think you'd like to know about the changes made to shotguns, especially considering how important they are to player strategy in Battle Royale games. You won't be able to switch between two shotguns as you could before because you will have to wait a short while before you can fire another shotgun. Choose your tactics carefully or find another way to kill someone.
Worry no more for anyone trying to come alive in 50v50 or 20 team matches in the past. Fortnite applies XP bonuses to revive teammates in limited time modes. You'll only get three bonus XP, but you'll get an extra 30XP for the first time, and 10XP for the second and third follow-up. Hopefully, this will affect more players to offer a helping hand instead of leaving their teammates to die.
Storm is also getting an update. The seventh, eighth, and ninth circles will still shrink, but they will also be able to glide in random directions. You need to be ready to alert the moments in a flash.
Between matches, pressing the "Play Again" button now allows players to preview visual and sound effects in the Item Shop, War Gate, and Locker.
You will also have access to the same visual viewer built for mobile across all platforms. However, sound effects are muted when the visualizer is open. The new option can be found in the Accessibility tab. Don't worry if you play on a mobile platform, you won't be affected by this change.
