Stardew Valley is one step closer to multiplayer, and now players on PC have managed to complete a new beta that allows them to try out co-op gameplay. Developer ConcernedApe has announced that version 1.3 is in public beta, and those who want to try multiplayer can do so by following a few steps.
To activate the new beta, right-click the game in your library and select Properties. In the Betas tab, type the password jumpjunimos and click the Check Code button. You should then be able to select Beta in the dropdown box and this will allow you to download version 1.3 of the game. ConcernedApe warns players to backup their games first.
You can create your own farm in Stardew Valley 's new multiplayer game. Three other friends can live with you on your farm, or you can build cabins to use already built ones. Cabs are cheap, so it will be easy for your friends to start the game early. You will share the farm, your money, and world updates with your friends, while inventory, skills, and NPC relationships will all be kept separate.
You can choose whether you want your friends on your Steam / GOG list to be able to join or if you only want your farm to be invited, this means only those with invites or invite codes can join your server. ConcernedApe shares a few more details about multiplayer. For example, you can marry another player; only the host can pause the game; To sleep, all players must go to bed and write 'yes' in the dialogue, otherwise the day will not end.
You can learn more about the new multiplayer beta in the patch notes on Steam . ConcernedApe said there will be new content coming to the single-player game and will announce more details about it at a later date. Multiplayer consoles are also coming as the first model to receive the Nintendo Switch version.
