Lara Croft is coming to Rainbow Six Siege... Ubisoft has announced that it's adding the Lara Croft skin for operator Ash in Opera Void Edge next season .
The Croft will be an Elite skin, meaning it's expected to cost some R6 credits to purchase, although no specific price point has been announced. The Ash Elite Set will also include a victory animation, multiple weapon skins, and the Lara Croft chibi charm.
Check out the announcement video above. Note that the skin seen in the video may only be to pay homage to Lara Croft's representative appearance for Ash's victory animation. Although Rainbow Six Siege doesn't support bidirectional use, it's something Ubisoft Montreal has developed.
Given the huge popularity of Siege - it has more than 50 million registered accounts - it's a logical move that other franchises could look to the game as another promotional tool.
But Siege has crossed with another franchise before, as the game kicked off a tie-in event for the Netflix series Money Heist in 2019.
As for the Tomb Raider series, 2018's "Shadow of Tomb Raider" was the last of the new trilogy that started in 2013. On the other hand, a new soundtrack album featuring remakes of several of Peter Connelly's songs, soundtracks for multiple Tomb Raider games is currently available on many major music services.
