On August 21, PUBG Mobile shared a post on their social media accounts.
The post stated:
" PUBG Mobile New Era will be released on August 24 at 13:30. We ask for the honor of your presence. Let's witness the coming of the new era. Don't miss it!"
However, the developers did not mention what the announcement was about. This left many players confused but curious.
Erangel 2.0 was one of the most anticipated maps and made quite a buzz after it was added to the 1.0 beta.
Officials of the game have changed the icon of the game in the Google Play Store , as well as being " New Era for PUBG Mobile " on their social media accounts .

As you can see above, the icon reads '1.0: New Era'. The New Age words may be reminiscent of the Erangel 2.0 map. Also, 1.0 may represent the '1.0' version of the game, which is in beta.

From the thumbnail it's pretty clear that it's the image of the Erangel map.
These clues left by the developers have sparked a lot of speculation about Erangel 2.0. Many gamers and YouTubers think that the announcement may be about this 2.0 version added to the latest 1.0 beta.
Also, some users think that the announcement may be for the '1.0' version of PUBG Mobile to arrive. This means it can bring features from the beta version such as a smoother and new interface.

According to another news, there will also be a new 90 FPS option in the game, which is currently exclusive to OnePlus devices.
