The report states that it is unlikely that the ban will be lifted in the near future.

Earlier this month, India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology banned 118 Chinese apps and games. As is well known by now, this list included PUBG Mobile which is one of the most played games in India . This unprecedented move shook the entire PUBG Mobile community as it has a good player base and an excellent esports scene in the country and around the world. Just days after the ban, PUBG Corporation is now releasing PUBG Mobile in India.A glimmer of hope arose when he announced that he was not authorizing his franchise to Tencent Games and sought a local Indian partner to run his publishing business. However, as a fresh blow to fans of the game, a report by Inside Sport states that any PUBG Mobile ban in the country may not happen anytime soon.

The report by Inside Sport stated that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was in no rush to lift the ban on any banned Chinese apps. This shows that Tencent Games' withdrawal of publishing rights is not enough for PUBG Mobile to return to India. A ministry source told Inside Sport: "There is no official discussion within the ministry to lift bans on any of the apps listed on the ban list. We will refrain from commenting on any company or app." He added that no representation has been made to the ministry so far to lift the ban on the game.

Also, discussions on the withdrawal of the ban on Chinese practices have yet to be initiated. This update has undoubtedly reduced the chances of PUBG Mobile coming back any time soon.
