PT was already one of the scariest gaming experiences of all time when it was released in 2015, and the root cause of this fear was the character Lisa in the game. Imagine a scary woman appearing behind you at unexpected moments.
A game researcher shows us how creepy ghouls work behind the scenes.
YouTube user Lance McDonald studied how Lisa's disguised skins work in PT, a demo used to emulate the originally canceled Silent Hills game. It first went to the upper level of the house where you would never travel in the standard version of the demo. Here, we see Lisa staring at the ground for a few seconds during her first appearance, before she pulls back and disappears.
One of the scariest parts of PT. It occurs when trying to look at a cracked bathroom door. Lisa yells and slams the door, but as McDonald demonstrates from inside the bathroom, it only happens a moment before she actually does and then disappears again.
The bathroom reactivates later when a series of footsteps are heard in the hallway. No cheats this time. While there, Lisa is actually waiting outside the bathroom.
Silent Hills has been canceled and PT is no longer available for download, and there are fans on Kojima Productions' social media who think the game will be made available.
Stay tuned for more.
