Pathologic 2 is a remake of the creepy adventure game Pathologic , which came out in 2005 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest influences of the modern survival horror genre .
This time, developer Ice-Pick Lodge has made a gif-heavy progression update. It's been in-depth on most of the game systems, such as battle systems and autopsy.
In the game, you are a paramedic in a town where a plague has spread. You only have twelve days for this. Eating, drinking and sleeping aside, you should also avoid catching the infection yourself.
The course of the game was also changed in this sequel. According to your actions in the game, your reputation in the town may decrease or increase. Thus, people will react to you in different ways as you navigate the map.
The team also went for an update in the game settings. The town has been completely rebuilt but most of it needs improvement. These are parts of the town that were burned to eradicate the plague.
"Location logic is arguably one of the most important elements in a game like Pathologic 2, " the team said. That's why we think it should surround the city."
There is still a lot of work to be done, but according to the developments, the game will be released in 2018.
