From the developers behind Metro Exodus , Ghost of Tsushima, World of Warcraft , and more comes Mortal Shell , an action RPG with Dark Souls influences, set to launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC this year.
Mortal Shell features the deliberate battles made popular by From Software's Souls series, from developer Cold Symmetry , with role-playing elements that let you hone weapons and skills while exploring a non-linear open world. The trailer below reflects the story of the game with a horror-focused atmosphere.
A standout aspect of Mortal Shell is the shells themselves. You will physically wear the empty bodies of fallen warriors, each of whom will play with different fighting styles and abilities. You can get comfortable with a bullet and upgrade it further, so you can choose your playstyle and adapt to it with items and weapons.
Mortal Shell has been in development for over two years with Cold Symmetry of just 15 employees. The three co-founders - Andrew McLennan-Murray, Anton Gonzalez and Vitaly Bulgarov - are excited to finally showcase their studio work.
