We know this will be disappointing news for fans, but at E3 we will be revealing lots of new gameplay from a never before seen environment
Metro Exodus is the third game in the survival/horror/stealth/shooter series, and the game that will feature a larger world has been delayed. The PlayStation 4 , Xbox One , and PC game was originally supposed to release this year, but according to a press release from THQ Nordic , the game is scheduled to arrive in Q1 2019.
In its press release , THQ Nordic did not offer a rationale or explanation for why the game was delayed.
Like previous Metro games, Exodus stars Artyom escaping the ruins of the Moscow metro with a group of survivors. Publisher Deep Silver said the game will be a "sandbox survival experience" with players exploring large, non-linear levels in a story that spans the entire year.
Exodus was announced at E3 2017 with a trailer showing Artyom in a collapsed tunnel filled with skeletons. He then walked into the clearing and battled a huge mutated rat.
