The LCS Championship Finals ended today, followed by the Worlds 2022 draw results . First, lots were drawn for the Pre-Qualification groups, then for the Groups Stage. All eyes were on the group draw, anticipating the tournament coming later this month. So let's discuss the draw results for the Qualifier and Group Stages.

As mentioned earlier, the draw started with the Preliminary groups first. Twelve teams will take part in the Preliminaries. These teams were split into three pools for four teams. The pools were as follows:
Two teams from each pool were placed in a group and two groups of six were formed. So the groups ended up like this:

MAD Lions and Fnatic were split into two different groups due to group placement rules as both teams are from the same region. The format has changed over the last two Worlds tournaments, with twelve teams returning to the Qualifiers.
There was an exciting draw in the groups stage as well. As usual, there are four teams in each group in the Worlds Groups Stage format, and there are four groups for this tournament stage. The teams were divided into three pools of three teams. These are as follows:
The teams are split into four groups of three for now, and the four winners of the Qualifiers will have four vacancies, one bench from each group. These are as follows:

Groups A, B and C look like tough groups. Each group has some of the best LoL teams in the world and these matches will be pretty fun to watch. Group D seems to be the easiest group so far. One thing to note, if DRX and RNG qualify for the Preliminaries, they can only go to Groups C and D.
Other than that, the groups seem mostly competitive. Worlds 2022 will be a pleasure to watch. Keep an eye out for us as they will update their 2022 World Championship schedule very soon.
