LoL 13.5 Patch Notes | Wizard Item Updates

Riot Games Chief Designer Riot Phraxzon shared a short excerpt from the updates for  the LoL 13.5 patch notes a few days ago.

League of Legends patches have been geared towards continuous improvement in season 13. Riot Games developers are working hard to improve the gameplay experience by providing frequent updates and tweaks to champions, items and gameplay mechanics.

They've also honored their commitment to be more honest and open with the League of Legends community after significant backlash for not communicating frequently with players before the start of season 13.

LoL had a bleak start to its 13th season. After the social engineering blunder, the graded announcement error at the start of the season, and the cinematic response to the 2023 season , Riot Games is definitely on the mend.

Cosmic Accelerator Updates

All changes to Cosmic Ride:

• Amp Tome now replaces Ruby Crystal in the build path, reducing total cost from 850 to 815 (item's total cost remains unchanged)
• AP (Ability Power) now increased from 65 to 90
• Item no longer grants 200 health benefits upon completion

These changes are aimed at diversifying the mage item class. Compared to the Gunner item class in season 13 and even the Juggernaut/Bruiser item class, the item class is considered monotonous and overwhelming.

Big changes to power-ups and more AP items can be expected in the future, as Riot Phraxzon recently claimed that the development team is committed to making the Mage item class even more fun and exciting for players.

LeBlanc is a champion who would benefit greatly from these adjustments. Other champions like Zilean, Victor, Annie, Anivia and others can also benefit from this as Cosmic Ride can become a situational item for them. These changes are expected to shake up the mid laner meta. Patch 13.5 will undoubtedly have an impact on the season 13 meta and make watching pro games more exciting.

Kennen Buff 

League of Legends patch 13.5 will introduce major buffs for Kennen. The ranged champ has been on the sidelines for a while now, trying to establish himself in the season 13 meta.

Riot Games developer Spideraxe shared details on upcoming buffs for Kennen on Twitter. League Summoner's Rift Team Principal Designer Riot Phroxzon recently added Kennen to the list of champions that will get Yordle buffs in the upcoming patch.

Kennen is a versatile and dynamic champion known for his agility and lightning-powered abilities. This makes it a popular choice for players who like to use fast-paced and high-mobility champions.

Q - Thundering Star

• Base damage now increased from 75 - 255 to 75 - 275
• This ability's AP ratio is now increased from 75% to 85%
• Cooldown reduced from 8 - 4 seconds to 7 - 4

E - Like Lightning

• This ability's minion damage is now increased from 50% to 65%.

This buff has the potential to bring Kennen back to the League of Legends season 13 meta. His ability to poke enemy champions will definitely see improvement as his Q AP ratio is buffed. Additionally, in the upcoming League of Legends patch 13.5, buffs to champions like Rumble have been adjusted to drastically change the top lane meta.
