League of Legends patch 10.24 is getting ready to be a big patch with lots of balance tweaks.

League of Legends pre-season 11 update brought major changes to items and general champion items. The new legendary items not only completely changed the meta, but also introduced a lot of gameplay tweaks, making League of Legends feel like a completely new game. The League of Legends patch update 10.23 brought a lot to the table, and while some new items were overwhelming, most were completely broken. Riot Games really needs to bring a lot of balance tweaks to MOBA and League of Legendsgame design director Mark 'Scruffy' Yetter has spoken before about the tweaks that developers want to bring in patch 10.24. In a recent blog post titled "Quick Play Thoughts," Scruffy outlined some additional changes for future patches.

Scruffy In his blog post, he shared some thoughts on the changes League of Legends needs in the updates below. In terms of item balance changes, it summarized the following:

Increasing item reliability, giving players more counterplay options.
Making each champion viable and meta-appropriate through item variety.
Focusing on item selection based on in-game progression, not just meta-based.

He outlined the incredible number of changes League of Legends developers will want to bring to the MOBA in future updates. It looks like Riot is still working full throttle to balance the game before the regular season officially kicks off.
