It's been a long time since we heard about Diablo 4 . While Blizzard announced the project in 2019,a lot of things remained hidden about the sequel to the top-down action RPG series. As we get a little closer tothe game's 2023 release window, Diablo 4 developer Blizzard is sharing additional information to help fuel the excitement. Details such as the game's open world design and the return of the necromancer class were appreciated. However, leaking about 45 minutes of gameplay footage over the weekendwasn't part of Blizzard's plan.
While the leaked Diablo 4 footage doesn't come from a completed build, it shows it highly. The UI is solid, combat looks instinctive, and Blizzard has introduced new ways to explore the world through climbing while keeping the top-down camera perspective in place. The verticality of the design and the expanse of the world form a powerful combination that excites players even more than before.

Following the unplanned leak, Blizzard has announced that open and closed betas for Diablo 4 are coming soon. The closed beta will focus primarily on endgame content and will be available to select players in November 2022, with the open beta to follow at some point in 2023.
