While Diablo 4's challenging series takes around 35 hours to complete , a complementary game can take up to around 150 hours to explore all the content and reach the maximum level cap . This information was confirmed by game director Joe Shely and assistant game director Joseph Piepiora.
Piepiora clarified that companion playtime includes time spent trying to reach the maximum level, where the average player wants to explore everything Diablo 4 has to offer. This includes spending time clearing Sanctuary's tough Strongholds and defeating the toughest world bosses. However, it is also known that Diablo 4's story will span multiple seasons, so these times are expected to increase significantly over the lifetime of the game.
According to experience, it will take less time to clear the Diablo 4 map with a few friends in multiplayer mode.
