The Gears of War series was a game known for the Xbox . Before Microsoft bought the franchise, the series was exclusive to Xbox. The game started out as an Xbox exclusive console and has remained that way ever since. That's why it's been interesting news for 2011's Gears of War 3 running online on PlayStation 3 footage.
Epic Games has now confirmed that the studio has no plans to release Gears of War 3 on Sony's console. Images are from Epic's testing for Unreal Engine 3.
Epic told Kotaku, "This image is a by-product of Epic's internal Unreal Engine 3 testing process, which uses both Gears and the Unreal Tournament and was never part of actual product work for PS3." Said.
The latest Gears game, Gears 5, was released for Xbox One and PC in September 2019.
