The latest weekly update mode for Fortnite: Battle Royale has arrived. Patch 6.30 is now available on PS4 , Xbox One , PC , Nintendo Switch , and mobile devices . It brings the newly introduced Mounted Turret to the game and introduces a new Limited Time Mode called Food Fight.
The new team-based LTM pits Durrr Burger and Pizza Pit, Fortnite 's two biggest in-game restaurants, in a battle for culinary supremacy. The goal here is to destroy the other team's mascot. For the first few minutes of each match, the map is separated by an insurmountable barrier. Your side needs to use this time to build a castle around your own mascot and protect it from the other team.
When the barrier falls, Food Fight becomes a total war with a few special conditions. Explosives and items have been removed while Epic has increased the amount of construction resources you can find onsite for this LTM. Also, eliminated players will respawn after seven seconds and keep their inventory.
You can find more information about Food Fight LTM in the patch notes shared on Epic's website . The developer hasn't disclosed how long this mode will be active in Battle Royale , but previous LTMs usually last about a week before being replaced by a new week.
In addition to the new Food Fight mode, Patch 6.30 introduced the aforementioned Mounted Turret, a new Legendary trap that can be placed on the map and used to fire at enemies.
