Epic Games is also rolling out a new update for Fortnite on PS4 , Xbox One , PC , Switch , and mobile devices . There's also a brand new limited time mode, as well as a new Mounted Turret . After the patch's release, Epic released a new tweak to effectively use the Mounted Turret , significantly reducing the amount of health it has. In another patch released Friday afternoon (US time), Epic Games reduced the availability of Mounted Turret in all default modes (Solo, Duos, Squads).
The newest feature in the 6.30 update is the Limited Time Mode called Food Fight , which encourages players to beat Durg Burger 's battle against Pizza Pit and use the new Mounted Turret . "One wall, two fronts, Food Fight has begun! Build your base, wait for the barrier to fall and fight in this new Limited Time Mode.
The Mounted Turret is the Legendary Trap weapon that can be found in Floor Loot, Supply Drops, Vending Machines, and Supply Llamas. Although it has unlimited ammo, players will need to use it carefully as it can overheat if fired for too long. The Mounted Turret can only be placed on the ground and destroyed by attacking directly or by targeting its structural support.
As previously announced, Epic has ended glider testing that began a few weeks ago. Redeploying will only activate your glider, but you will still be able to fly through the air after hopping a Battle Bus or using a Launch Pad.
