Fortnite 's content update 4.2 is now available and has finally added jetpacks to the game, kicking off a new limited-time mode in Battle Royale . The second iteration of the Solid Gold event is currently underway on PS4 , Xbox One , PC , and iOS , and as before, the mod's theme is Legendary weapons.
Every weapon that players find while playing Solid Gold v2 will have the Legendary variety. Developer Epic has also adjusted the drop rates for each weapon. Now, players will have more chances to find Hand Cannon and Suppressed Pistols; Assault Rifle, Minigun and Sniper Rifle will be the most common weapons in chests; The Rocket and Grenade Launcher will also reportedly have the best chance of appearing in supply drops.
Above the adjusted weapon rates, Epic also increased the drop rates for Chug Jugs, Slurp Juice, Shields, Launch Pads, Campfires, and all Special Grenades. Meanwhile, the drop rates of standard Grenades, Spike Traps, and Bandages have also decreased. Players will also receive 50% more stone and metal resources from the farm.
As is usually the case , Epic hasn't announced an exact end date for Solid Gold v2 , but limited-time modes in Fortnite traditionally run for about a week.
