Elden Ring's New Classes Introduced: Vagabond and Hero

Elden Ring's New Classes Introduced: Vagabond and Hero
FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have announced two more exciting classes from the upcoming open-world Soulsborne game Elden Ring.

Just days before the Elden Ring release date, Bandai Namco and From Software continue to showcase details from the game such that today they introduced two new classes for the latest Soulsborne game ; Vagabond and Hero .

There will be a total of ten classes to choose from in the game , but players were able to test only five in Elden Ring 's Closed Network Test:

  • "Enchanted Knight", a warrior who specializes in melee but can also cast spells
  • "Bloody Wolf", a slow fighter with the highest power rating in the game
  • "Prophet", a sorcerer who uses magic for offensive and healing spells
  • A fighter who excels at ranged attacks "Champion"
  • A choice "Warrior" for players who like to dodge and dodge attacks

Vagabond will be another knight character in Elden Ring, but less pureblood than Enchanted Knight, who fights against evil magic users. Vagabond, which comes with a great armor set and sword, will be a good choice for armor users.

Hero is a daring hero with a battle ax and is descended from a chieftain.

Choosing a class for all Soulsborne games is always the hard part, but as with previous games, there's one class among the fan base that only seems to be made for the truly masochistic Wretch. This newly revealed class will be the hardest class in Elden Ring and will play similarly to the "naked" characters from previous games such as Dark Souls' Deprived class and Bloodborne's Waste of Skin class. These start players off with minimal equipment and terrible base stats. While this means that the class has a steep learning curve, it ultimately means it's a blank slate for players to customize their characters as they see fit; provided they survive long enough.

In a recent interview, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed that he believes more people will finish this game than most Soulsborne games, especially since its open world allows for more progression than its predecessor. Players will no longer be stuck with a boss or two when they wander around and find another area that is easier to try. While that doesn't mean the game will be easy by any imagination, a Soulsborne game wouldn't be a Soulsborne game if it wasn't a challenge.

Elden Ring will release on February 25, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
