Dying Light: Hellraid DLC Coming in July

A few years ago, Dead Island and Dying Light developer Techland announced Hellraid, the game it was developing. It was conceived as a violent and brutal action game and was even intended to be introduced as a puzzle spinoff for mobile devices, but Techland has indefinitely shelved the project, deciding to continue working on Dying Light 2 . However, Dying Light will debut as DLC and you'll have access to the new add-on pack next month. Coming to Dying Light: Hellraid on July 23 for PS4 , Xbox One , and PCIt will be accessed via a spooky arcade machine in the Tower. After using the machine you will be sent directly to hell and you can fight against demons using ax, hammer and sword. The DLC will also have its own Hellraid rank and rewards that you can complete for additional rewards.

As with the main game, you can play Dying Light: Hellraid together or solo. Up to four players can slay demons together. Interestingly enough, Hellraid itself was never officially canceled. For the DLC, the project remains "pending" suggesting that it may come up in the future, which tells us that Hellraid may arrive someday in the future. While Techland will have to delay Dying Light 2 for more development time , gauging player interest through the DLC can also help former players return to the game.
