Dead by Daylight introduced cross-play that lets you survive the horror game with your friends on PS4 , Xbox One , Nintendo Switch , and PC . This introduces the system that connects the Steam and Windows 10 communities through cross-play. According to the announcement, this also comes with cross-friend functionality that allows you to maintain a unified friends list. The studio previously talked about cross-progression on Stadia back in September. Crossplay or progression does not appear in the mobile version's options.

Behavior Interactive says Dead by Daylight has reached more than 25 million players, with nearly 1 million players per day across all platforms. Since many of these communities can now play together, the share of players that can come together is much larger. Dead by Daylight was released in 2016 and was rated 7/10 by many game reviewers and editors. It has since continued to be updated with new content and add-ons to other horror series such as Silent Hill.
