You cannot build anything without obtaining the necessary materials, but once you find the necessary materials, you can. And for your information, many of the valuable resources are found in sunken ships, that is, at the bottom of the sea, among sharks. Stranded Deep is a game where you will be exposed to many dangers on the way to survival.
Swimming from one island to another is one way to get needed resources, but keep the sharks in mind. The only problem with the game is that it has somewhat limited content. But it's still a new game being worked on and it's not even near completion yet, so the content will get richer as time goes on. If you like survival games, you will love Stranded Deep.
