Call of Duty: Warzone was released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC with 150-player matches, making it one of the bigger battle royale games out there. However, that number won't hold up for long - even more populated games are coming.
Speaking to the USA Today, Infinity Ward's Patrick Kelly said that Infinity Ward runs games for 200 people in-house. “Actually, I'd say we're already playing with 200 players,” he says. "We'll release that to the market later."
200 player matches have been rumored for Call of Duty: Warzone for a while - long before it was officially announced - confirming this figure is good information for players.
Kelly also says that larger rosters will be possible in the future. “I would say we have four- and five-player units that we play right now,” he told USA Today . "But we want to start with something we know works really well and we test the nines and then we play with these different team sizes."
Call of Duty: Warzone uses it with a unique respawn mechanic, so it's well suited for larger player numbers. Of course, this will make it even harder for 200 players to win and see the perfect victory screen.
