According to information from unverified sources, a new mode, Warzone, is coming!
A Battle Royale mode is definitely coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare , as the Season 2 opening cinematic shows us that. With the latest news, the accuracy of this has increased even more. As Charlie Intel reported, it will likely arrive in the in-game menu with a new mode called "Warzone", which is the name of the Battle Royale mode. The images in the menu show options for Weapons, Operators and Barracks, while there is also a page for "Drop Kits" that you can edit before matches. Also, people claimed to be able to view the new battle royale map in various and unconfirmed ways. A video of the rumors map was also posted online.
The Modern Warfare Season 2 update added a new " Classified " page to the game's title screen; this is believed to be a reserved spot for the Warzone battle royale mode. While these latest details seem unconfirmed, Infinity Ward has yet to make an official statement outside of the teaser. You can watch this teaser in the video above. Before launch, Infinity Ward said the game could support 100 player mode at some point, and now with a Battle Royale mode, that seems to be happening. There are numerous rumors about Modern Warfare's Battle Royale mode right now, including that Warzone may be a standalone, free-to-play game, but nothing is clear yet.
