The Battlefield 2042 gameplay video , which was officially announced with a stunning trailer last week, has been released. Unveiled at Microsoft's Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at the E3 2021 conference , the new trailer showcases the game's futuristic weapons of war, real-time devastating weather conditions like hurricanes and sandstorms, and massive maps that support up to 128 simultaneous players.
The new Battlefield is touted as the "most ambitious" entry in the series to date, with 128-player maps built on the latest Frostbite engine, available on the latest consoles and PC. Most of the trailer featured a lot of high-end gameplay moments on a desert-based city map, which were first shown in the game's teaser trailer a few days ago, only this time we've seen those moments in the real game. Expected footage of gunfights and conflicts include nature-based setpieces, the ability to flap around the map for quick getaways, and lots of explosions.

We already know that Battlefield 2042 will be a multiplayer-only game centered around three main modes and framed around a conflict fueled by a lack of resources, a deteriorating environment, and soldiers with no nation to fight. However, we would like to see the third, mysterious (Redacted) multiplayer mode, as well as All-out Warfare and Hazard Zone modes. We also hope to see how various things like major weather changes on a map will affect the game's movement, and the types of upgrades and equipment available to the " Experts ".
The Battlefield 2042 release date is set for October 22, 2021 , and it's coming to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox Series X, and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions arrive on the same day.
