Apex Legends New Game Mode | Team Deathmatch

Apex Legends is essentially a Battle Royale and the team wants to help players master the main game mode and Arenas in its current state is not meeting players' goals. At the launch of Revelry, the Team Deathmatch game mode debuted in Apex Legends. Available for the first 3 weeks of the season , TDM has been the most requested mod by the community. 

The Mixtape with TDM, Gun Run, and Control rotation will be a great way for players to test a new Legend, hone their skills, and experience Apex Legends-specific gameplay in real combat situations with little interruption between fights.

Team Deathmatch

One of TDM's goals is to provide a low-risk environment where you can experience a fast-paced version of Apex combat.

Here's a quick breakdown of how the mod works:

1. 6v6 teams
2. Choose your equipment when you spawn
3. You can change your equipment or legend when respawning
4. Shields regenerate automatically
5. You must get 30 kills to win a round
6. First alliance match to win 2 rounds wins
7. Switch uploads between rounds
8. Collect airdrops mid-round for more powerful weapons

Many players will now use TDM as a warm-up place for Battle Royale.

We aim to see players have a way to try out certain weapons they don't normally have a lot of live shooting training on. And we want newer players to have a place where they can overcome some of the first hurdles to approach Apex's combat.

Apex players should be able to play and enjoy TDM as their activity. Players looking for a place to fine-tune and hone their skills on a more regular basis can expect some updates in other areas soon as well.
