Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event has started as of today. Boasting the return of Skull Town, new cosmetics, an awesome Revenant Heirloom, and a host of balance changes, the battle royale's Genesis collection event is live now. Genesis will run from today until July 13.
The theme of the event focuses on origins, introducing new mythical aspects of the characters' past lives. Crypto, for example, will reveal his true identity as Tae Joon Park, while Bangalore will be dressed in military outfits from his time as an IMC Grunt. And Revenant will finally get a heirloom in the shape of a giant scythe that is sure to become a fan favorite.
In keeping with the comeback concept, Season 0 Kings Canyon and Season 3 World's Edge will make a comeback with a limited-time Legacy Maps Takeover. These will be available in the regular Trios and Duos queue. Additionally, Skull Town will also be released as an Arena map, bringing one of battle royale's most popular hot falls into three-on-three combat.

As for balance changes, players can expect nerfs to varying degrees of Bloodhound, Lifeline, and Octane. We can say that Bloodhound's crawl duration has decreased and Beast of the Hunt's duration has also decreased. Octane's Launch Pad cooldown is increased by 30 seconds and Lifeline's hitbox will be slightly larger. As for the killer simulation Revenant, the hitbox weakens and the climbing height increases significantly. However, Silence duration and Death Totem protection duration are decreasing.
The Genesis Collection Event , as usual, brings a rewards course, this time with brand new winnable cosmetics, including the legendary Charge Rifle and EVA-8 weapon skins. You can participate in daily renewed challenges and earn 1,600 points per day. You'll also have access to challenges that reward four unique badges if you complete them during the event. All of these challenges also stack up with your Battle Pass, so you can complete multiple missions at once.
And of course , Genesis is introducing a brand new set of 24 themed, limited-time cosmetics. All 24 items will be available via direct purchase (for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals) and in Genesis Event Apex Packs for the duration of the event. If you collect all 24 event items, you will unlock the Revenant Heirloom set. Each event bundle comes with an event item and two non-event items.
