Last month we learned that Total War 's first Saga venture , Total War Thrones of Britannia, will feature a British map 23 times larger than TW: Atilla . That means more room for battlefields, soldiers, war and bloodshed.
Set in the British Isles in 878AD , Thrones of Britannia takes place after the Viking Invasion of England. In reality, the King of Wessex had signed a peace treaty with the Norseman, but the example above shows that it wasn't exactly a simple process.
The game is expected to be released this year.
