On September 2, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology announced the suspension of 118 Chinese apps, including the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile . The ministry has also issued a press release on the official website of the PIB confirming that these apps are banned in India under Section 69A. The Indian government's move came as a shock to the entire gaming community. This isn't the first time the Indian government has banned China-related apps. In June this year, 59 applications were suspended, and the government did not allow copies of the game to be published. However, many users still do not know why these apps were banned. Speculations are circulating on the internet.
Why Is PUBG Mobile Banned In India?
In the official press release,It was stated that 118 mobile applications, including PUBG Mobile, were banned in India on the grounds that they "harm the sovereignty and integrity of India, India's defense, state security and public order".
