The border surrounding the Act Rank triangle represents the Act Rank Limit. It evolves based on your earnings and changes when you reach levels 9, 25, 50, 75 and 100. The key to ranking in Valorant isn't just limited to wins in competitive lobbies, but your performance in matches as well. Make no mistake, winning games is still the most important factor to move up the rankings, but it's not the only factor.
Your rank will be measured by how decisively you achieve victory or the taste of defeat. Even a draw can result in you gaining or losing ranking points depending on your performance in the match.
