Riot seems to have completely disappeared with the balance changes in Valorant patch 1.07 and have fixed many of the issues that have plagued the game for a while.
Brave players complain a lot about Sage and Killjoy , and "overpowered" has been the word most associated with them since their release.
With patch 1.07, Riot has largely destroyed Sage and doesn't think the select rate in pro play will be as effective as it used to be. With the ability to heal, revive, slow, and "big" wall , Sage has an equal amount of "move" and "support" potential, making him one of the most oppressive agents in Valorant. Killjoy joined Sage's ranks shortly after its release, and the Nanoswarm and its Turrets have been a hot topic of discussion in the community for some time. Riot introduced several weaknesses to both agents in patch 1.07, and these changes are expected to completely change the competitive meta.
Healing reduced from 100 at five seconds to 60 at five seconds.
Self-healing reduced from 100 at five seconds to 60 at 10 seconds.
The size has been reduced by 30 percent.
Cost reduced from 400 to 300. Reinforcing Barrier: The Wall is formed at 400 HP. After a three second delay, the wall is increased to 800 HP.
From fully reviving an ally to creating choke points with their walls to slowing down enemy thrusts, Sage has been an integral part of every team composition. With the Healing Orb as well as Slow and Barrier Orb debuffs, we don't think players will pick him up as easily as they used to in both casual and competitive play.
Killjoy has been one of the most controversial Agents in Valorant since coming to the game . Their towers were often accused of breaking the competitive integrity of the game. Let's take a look at how Riot tried to balance Killjoy in Valorant patch 1.07 :
Added a short shutdown time before damage starts.
DPS reduced from 60 to 40.
Added visual effects to make it easier to see the grenade on the ground.
Stealth audio range slightly increased
No longer spawned by Sova 's Watch Arrow.
Shoots more effectively at an enemy's last known position.
