As the developers revealed, the longer Cold Steel players don't shoot, the more ice builds up on their weapons. However, as it accumulates and the person starts shooting with a collectible-equipped weapon, the ice shatters with a brilliant animation.
The game's Associate Art Director Sean Marino said in an exclusive interview: “ I think that goes into the idea of how we want players to play the game. It's like, "Don't rush. Be planned." If you look at your gun and there's no ice on it, maybe you need to calm down and relax for a second. ”
This is one of Valorant's most unique features. The new collection allows players to track their overall performance in the match without the help of numbers or statistics, only with the help of skins. Valorant can be intense at times, causing players to become anxious or even angry in-game. However, if users have a collection of skins, their weapons can give them a hint to slow down and relax.
