Valorant 5.07 PBE Patch Notes: Agent Updates

Valorant continues to receive updates and balance changes, and the latest update, patch 5.07, is now on the PBE.

Riot Games plans to make significant improvements to Valorant through the 5.07 PBE (public beta environment) patch notes . Agents i.e. Reyna, Kay/O, Skye and Yoru are currently gaining traction and the new changes are expected to benefit them.

The developers have touched on possible character changes for Agents that could soon be implemented in the live version of the game. An official release date for the patch is yet to come, but we can get an idea through the PBE notes.

The Riot developers explain that having Guide Light destructible doesn't feel like "meaningful counterplay" and they want to differentiate Guide Light from other flashes in the game.

• Guide Light flash burst scaling paradigm changed
  - Skye's Guide Light ability max flash duration now scales from 1.25 seconds to 2.25 seconds on a 0.75 second charge after cast
  - Guide Light can no longer be hit and destroyed
  - New VFX, UI and sounds have been added to convey new gameplay intent

The Riot developers have detailed that hidden FLASH/Memory is "over-performing" compared to other flashes (Phoenix's flash and Yoru's flash). In contrast, there weren't enough rewards for successfully executing a hand throw. To balance it out, weakening the bottom compared to other pop flashes is the choice made.

• FLASH/Memory
  - Hidden flash firing max duration decreased: 2s -> 1.25s
  - Increased extreme flash firing max duration: 2s -> 2.25s

Reyna

Reyna's flash is apparently underperforming, especially in high-skill gaming environments. As such, the developers hope these changes will give Reyna more authority over how she decides to look after she chooses Evil Eye. However, with this personal use increase, its value decreased when thrown for teammates.

• Evil Eye
  - Nearsight effect increased: 6s -> 4s.
  - Range restriction on Evil Eye removed
  - Near vision equipment drop delay decreased: .7 ->.5
  - Near vision separation delay set to "Instant"
  - Duration decreased: 2.6s -> 2s

Yoru still needed to be able to flash during her ultimate, so the developers decided to increase the Blind Spot time as they felt it was "important to flash and clone" while avoiding annoying gameplay scenarios for other agents.

• Blind Spot duration increased: 1.5s -> 1.75s
• Flash Visual Updates
  - 3P visuals for glowing enemies and teammates now show behind the player's head when the flash starts to go out. This should more clearly show that the players are completely flashing or the flash is starting to fade.
  - Fully flashing 1P visuals now shrink over time to better show when full flash will end and flash dimming will begin.
  - Increased the assist interval for flashes, melee and jolts from 1 >>> 3 seconds after the debuff starts to decrease.

Agent Bug Fixes

• Fixed Killjoy's Turret firing directly at an enemy after firing them, then losing sight of them.
• Fixed an issue where Killjoy's Turret would fire aimlessly when online if disabled while shooting at a target.
• Fixed a bug where Phoenix would not automatically re-equip a weapon at the end of the Iridescent.
• Fixed Breach's Earthquake showing dead enemies hit in the battle report.
• Fixed the issue where if a player was deafened by more than one source, the deafening effect would disappear completely when the initial deafness ended.

Progress Updates

• Favorites and Filters
  - Added ability to favorite weapon skins, player cards, sprays, weapon charms and level caps.
• Added ability to filter your collection.
  - Weapon skins: Owned/Unowned, Favorites/Unfavored, Tiers (Selected, Deluxe, Premium, Ultra, Custom)
• Random Favorites
  - In addition to being able to organize your weapon collection and set your favorite weapons, you can now use the Random Favorite for any weapon type. This will allow you to randomly obtain one of your favorite weapons (along with one of the variants you have) every time you enter a match, in every game you play.

There is no exact date yet when Valorant 5.07 patch notes will be released .
